There is enormous variability between petrol pumps and the way they deliver. I have a couple of local filling stations where I can quickly fill the tank with no blow back, others where unless I fill very slowly it blows back and getting the last couple of litres in is virtually impossible.
I don't understand the cause of the difference, but there must be an explanation.

My Jeep JK had this problem. The petrol station pump clicked off every few seconds and it drove me mad, it used to take 10 mins or more to fill the tank, It was a known issue with them and in the end my dealer kicked up enough stink that Jeep flew a tech down to tassie to try and solve it. The problem was the protective wax coating they put on a breather valve on the tank apparently, every time the sun came out and the day got hot the wax would melt and stick the valve. They took it off degreased and dewaxed it, issue solved. Could the Morgan issue be the same?

If you have a Plus 8 with the side screen slot behind the seats, if you remove the rear panel covering the spare wheel hole you will probabably find that the breather pipe runs from the tank to the filler with a pronounced dip. Remove the dip (tie wrap to the cross member above the pipe - with suitable protection to prevent fretting) and this seems to help. Obviously using the well publicised 12 o'clock flap hinge position also helps. You could also reduce the length of the breather pipe to reduce the dip but access with the side screen slot fitted is very restricted.
I don't have a side screen slot - but I may take a look at the kink at some point, assuming I have a kink... Getting fuel into my Aero +8 is about the only gripe I have with it. It's a royal pain and I'd love a solution. The fuel gauge is also hopeless - I sat parked on level tarmac the other day with the engine running and watched it weave all over the place. Totally mad.

I have Milt’s Speedster now but noticed he says it has a “400PS ECU”. Anyone know anything about that?

The original plus 8 press release quoted 390bhp with the sports exhaust fitted. However its not totally clear what form the sports exhaust took or whether any where fitted.

I think the "sports exhaust" was a combination of high flow cat-convters as well as sidepipes ? This had an adjusted map on the ECU to match ?
I am only going on secondhand knowledge so mileage may vary.
