I will soon be having the insides of the sidescreens fitted with leather padding by Allon White. These will be dark green leather to match the piping on Merlin, my 4/4 four seater.

(Apologies for re-using this piccy)
They couldn’t match the cream leather, so the green should look quite smart.

The outer covers on the sidescreens also need re-covering. Question is, should these be black or dark green and so matching the mohair roof? Any thoughts from the aesthetes amongst us?

I would go for the dark green.

Definitely agree on the green. Don't think the contrast would work if you went black.

I agree, go with green to match your hood

Black is OK but it introduces another finish which wouldn’t match anything

I know there is black trim bits and bobs and the tyres are black but not enough to warrant black covered side screens

I’ve always thought the side screen outers should be covered in the same material as the hood

On the later post 2005 4 seaters the sidescreens are the painted body colour which I don’t think works as the top line beneath the window isn’t straight so should be aesthetically a different element and finish - I would much prefer mine to be in a black mohair covering to match my hood instead of body colour
