A thought, reading this thread....
Wheels are stolen because they can be sold.
Do MMC's special alloy wheels fit other cars?
I tried the Aeromax wheel on the Merc, the stud spacing is the same, but the centre hole isn't and it didn't look as though the offset would be right, either.
If they can only be fitted to an Aero then no one is going to steal them, so why bother with locking wheel nuts?

What a stunning set you have I take it you mean the wheels, not the nuts?! Thank you Richard. I'm going to get the originals refurbed, not neccessarily white, and then it's the turn of these. They are in good nick but not quite perfect.

Not sure the local opportunist wheel nickers would think it through - tried to find locking nuts for the Aero, but thwarted thus far.
