By the pictures of the repair it defiantly didn’t look like it got a chassis change... just the wings straighted our and repainted.

From the e-bay (revised) description...

September 2017 The vehicle sustained accident damage to the drivers side, we as a well established experienced company in historic motor sport preparation and race crash repair along with classic restoration bought the vehicle to repair. We have a full photographic record from start to finish. The vehicle's pre condition was very much pristine / show standard. The repairs have been carried out here in our workshops by our technicians. Finished March 2018 4 wheel Lazor Aligned as we do with all our race car preparations. As mentioned viewing will not disappoint, Quality is important to us.

In my opinion it all hangs on the chassis damage, if any.
A review of their photos and an under body inspection will answer all questions.

Could be OK.

Has anybody actually been to see the car, to assess the repair works that have been carried out, or are we just going off the photographs?

Looking at the pictures this is a short door as it has vents to demist.

Umm, 1997 John? smile
My +4 was '97, long door.

I would have expected a new front wing to be fitted. It may be worth the money assuming its not Cat C/D but would trust a dealer that cannot be honest in the description. What else is he hiding?

Probably realised all the info is still out there and quickly amended it

Mike, how about a really cheeky offer, for a kit of parts to go on a new chassis?

An operation I think you may be familiar with.

Hope you get lucky with your search.

Categories C and D have been superseded by categories S and N.

This car is a category S write off which means it was written off due to structural damage.

Category N would mean non-structural damage.

Isn't there a requirement for the dealer to specifically include this in the advert ?
