Beat me to it, John..! That's a deliberate and not a mistake.. I assumed it was a mistake, and posted (and immediately deleted when I saw this) a critical rant. But this still in my view shows a lack of what we call "Outside-In" thinking. MMC might think that having the numbers in different positions on every grille is a cool design feature, but they might not have thought this through. Nearly every single person who sees these cars will not be aware of this. They will take one look at possibly the single most evident design feature of the car and think to themselves "Morgan can't even paint the numbers straight on the car" What to the insider says "Cool and Quirky" may well look to the outsider as "Slapdash and Incompetent". And they are the ones with the money. It's the Discovery number plate all over again.

A nice day for a 40 mile run out after a recent service and tune up! The car behaved perfectly, especially when I encountered a stretch of "autobahn or private road" and reminded myself how scary 3 figure digits on the speedometer of a '70s 4/4 can feel ! (sorry, no idea of mpg )

Somewhere in excess of 40 miles today, starting with a run to Prescott to meet up with SBM (who arrived there rather early!) plus a pal of mine. A couple of other Morgans and owners spotted too. Pleasant walk up the course with Sox, SBM and Robin (the last two only reaching Pardon where new higher catch fencing is now in place). Good to chat today After Prescott I trundled northwards to a "to be" woodland site to inspect for new trees (it's a woodland burials place). Spotted SteveH and Harry in a queue for traffic lights at Aston Cross. Anyhow, tomorrow morning I will be on the phone to find out why Woodland Burials seem to be ignoring me, despite having a lot of my money since last Oct/Nov. Nice gentle run home from there, via villages. Passed a good number of classics, most of whom waved. Good to be out in the Morgan

Glorious day today in Pembs when the fog lifted, we met a very nice couple from Hop Mog in their roadster at Angle beach.

Discovered a slow puncture DS rear. Went to the local tyre guys as I have alloys. It was thorn & a cut through the inside side wall so not repairable. Tyres were down to 5 mm after 18k & 4 years. So I got the unused spare on one side & the non damaged PS rear as a spare plus a new tyre.

Had a lovely trip over to have a brew and a catchup with Wolfman Cain this lunchtime. Top down in the hot sun going, roof up in the biblical rainstorms on the way home..! Some nice things being fettled over in the Wolf Cave.. Got stuck on a dual carriageway behind a three car stack up, for about 45 minutes, but still home in time for tea.. Couldn't resist snapping this and thinking of the OCD amongst us...I was stationary on a private drive at the time, of course..
