Agree 100% about NA cars. The Fezza engine was a delight except at the petrol station.

Intrigued that the Jaag has so far managed over 30 mpg whilst the Fezza never exceeded 16mpg. OK it was 480 bhp vs 380 but all the same thats a big difference. Probably something to do with 8500 rpm and the howl from the exhaust.

No good nurturing the F-type too much Howard, depreciation is
pretty horrific on most newer jags anyway. Just drive it and enjoy.

Like Chunkie said, you need 2 cars, if you like touring in the
F-type and it has enough room for your kit, get yourself an
older trad to play with and add improvements from the likes
of Sifab,Williams etc.
I've had a lot of exotica over the years, and although the
Mog is pretty rubbish in some ways, it draws comments and
kind remarks like no other car I've owned.

In what ways do you find the Roadster that you own to be rubbish?
I very much enjoy mine but it may be that my bar is set low.

Howard the comment about the petrol consumption of N/A engines interested me. With the exception of the very latest generations of turbo petrols I have always found turbo's to be more thirsty. I am not certain what brings this, heavy right foot, engine management map, over compensation for boost lag. When I drive N/A engines I find the better response makes it easier to modulate the power and so I tend to get better economy. All gut feel as the cars are different weights etc but I found the opposite. Then again having a flat-plane V8 with an 8500 limit making that noise probably means you were at least one gear lower than you needed to be I guess?

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Sump, radiator , Rear suspension, standard kingpins,
leaks, misting gauges, bonnet stays, etc.

I didn't say I wasn't enjoying the car, I am.
I like working on it, but also think that Morgan should
have better quality control and incorporate some of the
basic requirements like bonnet stays
(and a roll of neoprene in the tool kit).

Supose its less of an issue compared to oil seals and bore scoring on mk1 997 's , no wonder a warranty is a must .

Shall I?
This is my "comfortable car", next to Violet.

It's light, comfortable, pretty fast, the bikini top is not really a pain to mount it (takes a couple of minutes max), the PDK it's a good compromise (of course manual would have been my first choice but it was too expensive), plenty of space in the cabin and for luggage. Porsche build quality and somehow practical.
Just make sure to have the bucket seats and the sport "system" in case you have the PDK else the gearbox will not be as fast as it could (this can be installed as Porsche tequipment/aftermarket option).
It will not get too much wow factor since for lot of people it's "just a boxster", up to you if it's a pro or a con.
For any doubt/question, I am here.
