Hi chaps, is it not possible to take the sidescreen apart to do this and also change the guttering aswell. I ask because the perspex in my 1996 screens rattle like he'll while driving and slide forward on braking. Cheers pmh44

You could just renew the felt in the guttering using self adhesive felt, available on ebay.

The side screen Perspex just 'pops' out when you bend it gently. I have done it several times with out any problems. You think it will break but it doesn't. Heart of England do the felt 'off the roll'. It does not have any adhesive but I cannot remember using any glue, you just push it in and it is held in by the Perspex. The reason I had the side screens Perspex out was to get the side screen mounting brackets off. If you are driving at speed with the hood up, (I know, I know, but I do not like having water chucked over myself, the leather trim, nor the walnut dash [Granny always said "Water and Walnut don't mix!])and you find the side screens are bowing out past the windscreen you can gently bend the brackets in a bit to tilt the side screens in and loose the gap. The hammered paint finish on the brackets does not seem to crack with gentle bending either.

How do you open the boot?
