Hi,
Does anyone know where the indicator relay is on a 1999 4 4?
I want to change it to a buzzer type if possible as the indicator instrument lights are almost invisible in the sunlight and as the indicators sometimes do not automatically turn off I would like an audible warning that they are still working.
Alternatively I will buy a small generic buzzer. If I choose this option where is the best place to connect it?

On my Plus 8 I can hear it just behind the dashboard so if you drop it and have a listen/look you will locate it alright.

I have scrabbled about in the foot wells to see if it was obvious from underneath, but no luck.
Your advice sounds like the next logical step.

The black of course is the Earth and one red needs to go to the Green/White and the other red to Green/Red off the switch itself or anywhere convenient . The bike one's are good and loud.

If I cannot find the relay or access it easily I will go the buzzer route. Thanks for the useful links. The wiring diagram is especially handy.

I would guess its the same or similar to my 1999 Plus 8
Take the dash off, there are 2 biggish relays taped together just above the fuse box, it's one of them just set the indicators away and you'll feel which one it is.
1999 Morgan Plus 8. 3.9 ....

Yes I guess they will have a similar electrical layout. It's now having the time to get on with the job!

I bought a motorcycle buzzer on ebay £7.50 3 wires, fitted behind the spare wheel. Attach one wire to each positive wire from L/R indicator and 3rd wire to earth. Loud enough to hear in cockpit and acts as a reverse bleeper if you use hazard warning lights.

I did look at this idea Keith. The constant beeping on the hazard warning lights may be a bit much to bear if you need them for breakdown purposes but they would definitely have advantages as a warning when reversing.

Update!
Completed the job yesterday. Eventually decided to wire the buzzer into the dashboard light indicators. They were the easiest option. I bought a buzzer with a blue led attached which I have aimed down on my blue leather transmission tunnel. Works perfectly. In fact too loud so a little dampening is required.
