I've been bothered since I got my 3W by the unnatural angle of the fuel hose where it connects to the injector block on the top of the motor. While replacing the rocker box bolts with non rusting stainless items, I noticed some small cracks beginning on the near side hose at the point of maximum stress, so time to do something. I decided on removing the injector block and tapping it for a -6 AN adaptor which I then connected to 45 degree -6 AN to -5 hose barbs. Shortened the hoses just a bit (which removed the cracks) and now I'm much happier with the stress free hose connections. And while I was in the mood... I decided to replace the brake fluid reservoir which has also seemed so out of character with the machine, even though it's only seen when the bonnet is off. New reservoir bolts are temporary (toilet tank bolts!) while I wait for some proper stainless ones.

That looks very neat but can I suggest you replace the crimped fuel line clips with some screw type fuel line clips, if they are the original S&S ones. The crimped ones have been known to leak and have mostly been replaced by dealers or owners. The first thing you notice is fuel on the screen and then it crazes, if you are lucky.

Good advice Ian
