The brake warning light has started to stay on even when the handbrake is not engaged. But it isn't the normal bright warning light when this happens - it's a very dim light as if only a small amount of power is reaching the light.
The effectiveness of both the handbrake and footbrake is completely normal. The brake master cylinder is full and has never needed topping up between brake fluid changes. The car was recently MoT'd OK at a Morgan specialist. So it feels to me like an electrical fault.
Has anyone got any ideas about what's going on? Thanks in advance!

Had this happen once when caught in a downpour. Went away when the car dried out so I put it down to water getting into a connector.
I wonder what the quality and reliability is like of the brake fluid level sensor and switch in the reservoir cap.

Hi John,
I would unplug the sensor at the reservoir cap, if the light goes out the sensor needs cleaning or replacing.
If light stays on it's the handbrake sensor or a short in one of these two sensor's wiring.
My money is on the reservoir cap!

I found water splashes on the master cylinder sensor spade terminals - dried everything - no problem anymore!

I am having the same issue, on a 2018 built Plus 4... will try to fix this, but can you please provide a picture of the master cylinder sensor spade terminals? I am new to that detail. Thanks a lot!
