For the record, this is where we stayed on our tour. All Hotels were vetted for decent car parking.
Lys-Na-Greyne, Aboyne. Recommended by MissW. High end B&B in traditional Villa. Excellent in all respects. Secluded parking.
Evening meals can be taken at the Boat Inn - a ten minute walk away.
Garry & Joyce, the owners are very welcoming. Home made cake and tea provided from four o'clock. Good sized bedrooms with excellent en-suite facilities. MrsW was really impressed, and that's not easy.

Loch Ness Country House Hotel. Chosen for its proximity to the Caledonian Canal. Huge secluded car park. Slightly faded grandeur, especially our room which needed some TLC. But breakfast and dinner were fine. The dining room was nicely finished, and the position, just South of Inverness was what we needed. If we return to Inverness we may try an alternative, but we may also stay there again.

Inver Lodge Hotel at Lochinver. Quite ordinary looking but impressive decorations inside, Huge bedroom with three piece suite and four seater dining table. Very well presented. Food was excellent here, although new staff did provide some entertainment at dinner. Large secluded car park.

The Torridon. Probably the most impressive Hotel on our Tour. Just amazing in every respect. Car park not so big as the others, but secluded, and perfectly adequate. Superb food. Incredible location. Close to Applecross.

The Lovat at Fort Augustus. Our second stay here. Good value, and a large car park, although this is not secluded. Great food, and very busy during our stay. Good standard of accommodation, and recently refurbished. Adjacent to the south end of Loch Ness, and the Caledonian Canal.

Finally Linthwaite House, at Bowness in the Lake District. Recommended by MissW. Just refurbished and not quite finished. They are adding an events complex. At present the car park is compromised by building work, although we managed OK! The hotel grounds are secluded. The style is fresh, modern and quirky. It's different to all the others, but it grew on us over the two days we were there. The gardens are truly immaculate, as are the staff uniforms.
Think "Bond villain super yacht" and you should get the picture!!! The website images have not yet been updated.
