I thought I would share my thoughts on my recent upgrade.

I've not been an owner for very long, in fact less than a month. My plan from day 1 was to take the car, upgrade wise, as far as I could.

I got my car on the 26th April and last week it was in with Krazy Horse having the stage 3 upgrade work carried out. For those that don't know stage 3 consists of:-

Air Filter
High Flow Headers and exhaust
Stage 3 ECU
Stage 3 Camshaft
Live Dyno Tuning

My car is an EU4 so was down on power over an EU3 car, Morgan claim 62hp from the factory. The car drove well and sounded ok. I did have a few issues with the car stalling all the time which was hugely frustrating but I knew it would be fix when the work was carried out.

Krazy Horse had my car for 3 days and completed the stage 3 work. The difference in the car now is amazing! It drives like a totally different car and sound is something else. The sound isn't for the faint hearted but it's exactly what I wanted. After all its a toy not a daily driver.

The car pulls away nicely from 1500rpm and the low down torque is very impressive and it revs out free and easy to about 6k. The dyno results show 99hp and 108Ft/lb to the crank.

I've now had the car back for a week and covered about 200 miles since Friday and smile hasn't gone away and it won't for some time. There are still some small issues, nothing major and I know when car goes back for the 1000 mile service next month everything will be sorted.

If anyone was thinking about have this work carried out I can't recommend it highly enough. Now planning the next round of upgrades but for the moment I'm just enjoying it.

A very interesting report Johnny and very positive. Enjoy your miles.

I have to comment on that exhaust, it looks very serious at the front end there and has certainly but the bite back into it visually.

Hi Jonny,
Wow, those exhausts look the business.
What was your build number?
I`m still waiting for conformation of my build date.

18 months now, but still can`t wait for it to arrive.

Is the price for the stage 3 the price quoted?
I was not aware the stage 3 came with hand formed headers.

Excellent stuff..!

The squadron will be very pleased..

The upgrades make the M3W into the car it should always have been, and it's a shame it's all 'extra' to the already hefty price tag, but Way to Go..!

I love those header bends...look like my downpipes from the guttering..

That looks very slick! I bet it goes quite well too... innocent

I notice that you're in Norwich. Did you know that a whole lot of Morgan 3 Wheelers will be descending on Norfolk 7th - 11th June for the MTWC Goggles & Gauntlets tour? We will be based in Old Hunstanton and it would be great to meet up!

The M3Ws were having fun yesterday at Goodwood getting through the noise regulations.

Only 2 of the 3 entered were able to pass the strict noise limits. The third did one "demo" lap and was advised not to open it up when near any of the noise meters around the circuit, but like a good 'un he gave it the gun, but alas was not allowed any more laps. Nice car though.

BTW Krazy Horse have opened a branch up in Welling , Kent (less than 3 miles from me)

It was the premises previously occupied by AyGee Motorcycles, they are only selling high-end bikes (Indian, Norton, H-D, Ducati etc) and a "modern" 3 wheeler. They have no plans to offer the M3W as they do not wish to upset the existing agent in the area (presumably BHM)

You should get a lot of air through those pipes.

Has anyone gone for the KH Stage 4?
