It’s especially noticeable on the Roadster because of the bigger wheels so the body sits slightly higher up

Steward, nice move wt the numberplate. I agree that the protruding radiator is not attractive... Hence I went for a valance (stubby) skillfully made by Cain (https://www.wolfperformance.co.uk).
I am very pleased wt how it has turned out.
On the effect on cooling the following.
The new mulfab radiator provided a noticible lower water temperature measured on the gauge, with respect to the orriginal radiator. With the valence mounted the drop wrt orriginal is somewhat reduced but still present.

That is a vast improvement - getting shot of the badges has de cluttered it nicely, the full bumper will just finish it off, the over riders make it visually too busy in that area .

As Cain pointed out the fitting of one of his valances made a big difference to the stability on my 4/4.

Less problems with sidewinds..also I disliked the showing of the undercarriage without the valance..the car looked somehow unfinished without one.

I also used the 2 air inlets to pipe cold air up to the air box.

Luckily my +4 Supersport has a similar valance fitted as standard.

I like the front Valance, it also gives it a more sporty look IMO. I had mine manufactured, painted and installed at Williams Automobiles.

I had one of Cain’s stubby valances on my Roadster until I had full bumpers fitted. It nicely hid the lower radiator and looked good with overriders. The factory were unable to refit the valance when they fitted the bumpers but the new number plate position neatly hides the radiator and in my opinion takes away the need for a valance.

That looks a really eyeful and has great presence/stance - lovely!

So I at least detected the leak. Removed the plastic undertray, which reveiled the rad. There it was, just like in CooperMan's car. CooperMan was also right in predicting the tanks were brass and not plastic. Small leak between the surface of the rad and something soldered to it that looks like a penny washer although with a big hole in the middle - to give room for the tap valve. The valve itself looks ok, no visible leak. Next step is to find someone who can solder it. Local garage said no, would not embark on such a task and thus take the resonsibility. Maybe a cooper or a plumber? Will take some phone calls tomorrow. The leak is very small, surprised that radiator cement did not take care of it, but no. It's a cruel world...

On the bright side it is repairable unlike the plastic jobs.
