Don't forget Laurens, you live in Switzerland and you have probably invalidated your insurance by doing a modification that is not approved.
Could be, but I don't think so.
But my question was;could this little change bring any positive change to the start of aquaplaning at a certain speed through a certain amount of water.
Probably it makes only a little difference but any difference without any negative side effects is a win.
For 100% sure, aquaplaning ALWAYS will happen when speed, amount of water, car weight and profile depth will be out of the the tolerance to preclude aquaplaning.
From all this tolerances, we as drivers only have influence on one thing, at that certain moment, and thats ..... SPEED.
So our brains need to check ALL the time; is this speed the correct one for the giving circumstances.
Certain moments circumstances can change so quickly (puddle) that we're too late to adjust this speed.
If the margin would have been just a bit higher ( through better water escape routes like the pictures I have posted ) it could be that we had stayed in contact with the pavement.
