Hi there, having a clear out and I have a pair of Armstrong Type Lever Suspension Dampers as removed a while ago from my 1981 +8 when I upgraded to a different rear set up. Are these still of any value / use to anyone ? Got the steel mounting plates as well. Thanks Steve.

I would have thought some of the purist rebuilders could be interested. Worth a fleabay maybe.

My experience and testing tell Me the Armstrong Levers are as good as the Koni's. Unless the levers leak, keep them just in case.

Would you store them next to the grinding paste or the fuse wire for the consumer unit ( house switchboard ) that was changed out 25 years ago.

Very good. Although the master switch in my garage still has three proper fuses with real fuse wire. I rediscovered that when fitting my led strip lights and not reading the instructions......

So then I had to dig out the fuse wire - wrapped around a piece of branded cardboard........

Talking of disused tools......feeler gauges. Haven't used them for over ten years......

I've still got wire fuses in the isolation switches to a couple of my sheds, and I'm hoping they don't blow anytime as I don't have any spare fuse wire.

Fortunately not likely as I have mcbs back at the main distribution board which are much more sensitive, but if any of you guys come across any spare fuse wire I'll gladly provide a home for it!

Thanks Dave, but I should be ok, the mcbs trip far faster than the wire fuses melt. It's time I got round to rewiring those sections anyway, it's all a bit Heath Robinson with 30A cable strung along catenary wires across the garden. I really ought to put in some proper SWA or something.

The funny thing was that when I (ahem) mismanaged my new lights, it tripped the main board but also blew the fuse............

I should have known better........
