+1 be careful topping off the tank, particularly in hot weather.

Leave the filler cap open for 5 minutes after brimming the tank, that vents the air and sorts it.
Also grab a roll hoop and rock it from side to side.

Fortunately, I have Bill Fink working on it. he is replacing the fuel pump and filter (overnighted from New England Morgan). He has been talking with others about this, including England, and he suspects it could be the fuel lines being too close to the the hot cylinders. He is heat wrapping them and moving them away from the engine. It makes sense as apparently the gas is going to and from the engine, looping to the fuel pump. If the gas gets too hot, it can slow or stop the impeller. This might be the issue that has plagued many folks. We'll see. I do know i have the best guy working on it. Will www.m3wroadtrip.com It would be great if that is the problem and there is an easy fix. I’d be interested to hear what some of the mechanically minded people on here (Rog, that includes you as the experienced fuel pump fitter on the Albert Ball Memorial trip this year!) think. I don't think there should be much to worry about regarding reliability. The trip is part sponsored by Morgan and I hear Morgan USA has a strong reputation. I imagine this would have been one of the best prepared M3W's to hit the road and there's NO way Morgan will let this car fail in such a public event. It is disconcerting that it has broken down a couple of times early in the trip but there will be parts and expertise a plenty. Push on Will and safe travels...

I don’t believe it was overfilling in my case. I did that exactly once and have since adopted a 2 click method. After the pump stops a second time, we are full as we are going to get.

I have heard Ethanol does not work well in Trikes. I contacted Will Freeman this morning giving Him this information as California, Oregon and Washington have 10%+ ethanol in their pump gas. I also sent the website ( https://www.pure-gas.org/extensions/map.jsp?statecode=OR) so He can source ethanol free fuel. Will Freeman acknowledged He had received this information.

My 3-wheeler ran very well all the way across the USA until I got to California. It ran a little rough with the odd splutter for the few days I was there. I put this down to the fuel. The motor returned to normal as soon as I filled it up in Southampton and has never had rough running since.
