Mine was so loud it would have put anyone off buying a Morgan hence immediate action from MMC. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

Told that because the steering rack is a complete unit it needs replacing as one. Dealer not happy with the sounds coming ftom it. Car only covered 17,000 miles. Not a great day.

Not good news are you still under the dealers warranty, I hope so this is pretty major surgery at the wrong time of year.

No -under a third party who are not being over generous! The dealer doesn’t think it’s dangerous- but it just sounds like a bag of old spanners and spoils the drive. Needs fixing.

Sorry to hear of the reluctance to rectify the fault, as you say it has to be fixed especially in these high performance cars you have to feel confidence in them to enjoy to the full.
I hope they don't take too long to fix it.

It’s been one of those weeks where things have just gone wrong! Maybe the weather. Rack will take a week to deliver and fitting is 10 hours so if planned properly shouldn’t be out too long.
Just had a little drive in it to cheer me up.
Job done.

Still waiting for the steering rack to be made available from the factory. I believe they shut down next week- so hoping something happens this week. Rattling less now/ but I think more noise from possibly a loose exhaust system.
Maybe I might just sort out the exhaust then pump the rack full of new oil!
