I have this afternoon driven to my local sports center and driven over a high kerb in their car park .
It grounded ,and slowly i have lost all oil. The AA delivered to my garage and after inspection I can see a hairline crack in the sump.
The engine is a 3.0 litre 2967cc Ford V6 Duraratec ST220
Can anyone help me what to do next. Obviously I need a new sump .
Where is the best place to buy one ?
Any help very much appreciated .

Sorry to hear this Ray - your best bet is to PM SimonH on here he has many years professional Morgan experience and will have the answer to your question and looking forward he produces protection to avoid any similar recurrences.

We had a shallow sump fitted by Simon/Mulberry and later a sump guard from Keith at BHM.
3.0 litre Roadsters are particularly vulnerable it seems.
As you are in Brighton - I would falk to BHM first - particularly if your car has to be transported which Sarah at BHM will arrange.

You can also gain a few mm by spacing the engine mounts.
The sump casting is very fragile, even though it looks robust.

Is it possible to fit higher profile tyres to the Roadster Dave.

Sorry to hear of the sump hit Ray
I’ve had a new sump fitted which came from SiFab. It is modified to take off about 30mm to increase ground clearance

Is it possible to fit higher profile tyres to the Roadster Dave. Yes you could. Although later Roadsters are more suitable with the rear axle set slightly further back.

When refurbishing the kingpins why don't install the SSL (SUPLEX) front suspension kit which allow to rise (or lower) the front clearance of roughly 20 mm depending on the spacer position.
