Interesting about the no swear words in Welsh, you must all be such refined gentlemen and road rage must be non-existant  We've always wondered about the Slow Arafs that seem to abound in Wales - but despite all the warnings on the roads we've never seen any.

Allegedly, they're a bit like the Haggi in Scotland's hills - you have to walk around the hill in the right direction - they'll all be coming towards you then, but you also need to be very quiet in order not to spook them...  Cheers,

...So my tireless research based on the most popular threads shows the ideal day for a talkmorganeer has to be: a blast down a volcanic ash free road (at or below the speed limit) in a green SLR wearing a stainless Daytona en-route to buy a nice (but not too expensive) number plate on Simon's birthday.

Yup, Some nice roads around the Elan Valley and that road from Tregaron is fantastic ... Last done in my MGB in the early 80s... Think I'd better get Mog along there next Spring! I really like the narrow lanes and back country roads in my 4/4 Cheers,

A4069 over the Western Beacons. From Llangadog to Ammanford.
That direction is great - steep winding road to top of the hills with stunning views on a clear day. Then a winding road over the top towards Ammanford.
Be careful though - its VERY popular with bikers , especially on weekends. It is targetted by locals for reporting speeding and police do check.
Winter time - a crips clear day and its great but beware ice!
The run to it from Llandovery and the roads out of Llandovery are also a good area, bikers use the cafe in Llandovery.

A40 from Carmarthen up through mid wales to Llandovery. The halfway Inn in Nantgaredig is a great food stop - owner has an Aero..... Taffmog have meets there too.
