Yes it is....

MMC welds that section up, and then linishes the weld flat again
It would be a sod to shrink the excess metal out if it was panel beaten

Yes Wow. What a strange comment which being ex factory I rather resent.

The panel is welded there, probably a poor weld. I’ve not seen anyone else post about a similar problem in all my years on TM so I guess not a common fault. But then it is hand built innocent hide
