Possibly because many Morgan owners regard a sense of humour as obligatory laugh2

As for the colours, I would follow some others advice - leave well alone for a while. If you really feel they need colour adjustment, then have it professionally done smile

cheers

Part of the charm of a Morgan is that they are unique and thankfully not identikit clones of each other. Like people they all have their own personality and "fashion sense".

FWIW, I like the combination of the lighter coloured headrest and arm rest contrasting with the darker brown upholstery colour.

However, what matters is whether you like it or not.

Whether you change the colour or keep them as they are should be your choice Craig. Personally I’d change them but I can see why you might not want to. As you said you said you bought them at a bargain price so I’m guessing you wouldn’t want to spend a great deal getting them recoloured professionally. A couple of years ago I bought a leather colouring kit from Furniture Clinic, it was to repair some wearing on the driver’s seat. As I had plenty left over I also treated a leather seat cushion I’d made for SWMBO. It gave fantastic results and neither show any sign of wear or cracking.
I don’t know how much it’d cost to have then done professionally but the kit is £50 and it’s pretty straightforward. Definitely worth considering if you do decide to change the colour.

Craig, dye one in lime green and the other in cerise pink. Do it now. No compromise.

laugh2...

The Oxford version .. noun

1
The style in which a person's hair is cut.
‘he's always very particular about his haircut’

More example sentencesSynonyms
1.1 An act of cutting a person's hair.
‘hair salons offering discounted haircuts’

More example sentences
2
informal A reduction in the stated value of an asset.
‘the banks would probably be willing to take a haircut on the rest’

Probably easier to explain as if a porcupine walked in one door handed over 8 pounds and appears at the exit looking like a hedgehog, I hope that's cleared it up grin2.
