Come on James kitchen towels, you know the towels just stay wet in the car and mists up all the gauges. The quarter inch gap between window and seal is also easily rectified you wear a suitable hat.

Don't believe you guys are taking this aquatic problem seriously enough. Think the first confederate submarine may have been more watertight than this.

I'm wondering if Morgan had shares in a towel factory when they designed this hood? Looks cool though I have to admit.

I had several micro fibres in my Mog for the inevitable drips/pours, they absorb really well, enjoy!!

Cheers! Will stock up on Amazon. That and a snorkel each should cover it!

I feel a Jacque Cousteau moment coming on here.

In all seriousness though has anyone ever tried to improve the seals?

Even if it's just a way to get the windows to actually come up in the right place as mine seem to please themselves if they are inside or outside the seals.

IIRC a few people took the slightly drastic step of getting the whole lid replaced with the later S2 style with spring clamps. This was done by the factory but was not cheap. I think it also resulted in the loss of the gangster style low hood.

I suspect a cover is the best step forwards ?

Kevin..You have the same roof as me without upgrade there were quite a few before they went consertina which sits much higher and spoils the look of the car.My first series 1 had flaps sown in like a trad which worked really well till you put your foot down. You can fettle the rubber on the passenger side from the outside but unfortunately you cant on the drivers side as your obviously sitting in the car,it will catch you out at some point, water also goes down the window into the workings of the door.My wife and i drive everywhere top down even in a drizzle but the plus point of the gangster roof if it does rain we can erect the roof in about 20 secs from a sitting position without using the tension wheel a big plus.
