Recently finished Artemis by Andy Weir. Cracking book if you like sci-fi.

“On So Many Tides” by Jon Wainwright. The story of the ownership of the sister Yacht Deva to our club Severn. Hoping to get some answers!

What I do is go to the Oxfam Bookshop and pick anything that catches my eye.
It is amazing what weird and wonderful books are out there that are not in the mainstream.
Occasionally end up with some rubbish but consider it a donation of £2-£3 to Oxfam.

No offence but could you use a local charity instead? What with all the brew-ha-ha regarding Oxfam.

Thanks for the recommendation Kerry. Just finished reading it - a fascinating account. It also covers the post D-Day campaign from a very different perspective to other treatments that I have read.

There are also references to Leicester Aero Club in the book - a Morgan owning mate is a member so I will suggest the book to him.

Ah the Amsterdam branch, I have not seen that for a while.

Pleased you enjoyed it Paul. And you're living right next door to where they were made and first flown.

Indeed. Since I first found this out, I have made a special trip to Rearsby to take a look. I had been driving past the gates for years without knowing the significance.
