It is the looks from other people I enjoy. “ Have you seen the loonies driving in this monsoon with no roof. “. Did it once in France with my 4/4 and actually got cheered driving through a little village roof down drenched and smiling.

Our Morgan umbrella has been used both for sudden downpours and also as a sunshade in slow traffic. But my admiration goes to a certain 4 seater owner who, one year, came from the north of England to the Le Mans Classic, leaving the roof at home! I think it was 2012, but it certainly rained!  Long may this eccentricity continue.

How does the hood fit on a speedster with no windscreen ??

Alan we can't have been far from you just north of Lemans on the Thursday afternoon stuck between two trucks with water pouring down the inside of the windscreen and me judging where to be by looking for the line at the side of the road next to me not fun but we couldn't stop - no room and I figured it looked like a tropical shower and it was we drove out the other side and were steaming soon.

Remember racing ahead of a summer torrential downpour last year,
where the sky goes black and purple like on those Oklahoma storm chaser weather channels.
Very satisfying to enter the garage seconds before the deluge.

Madmax ..I have a feeling that this Speedster is the one that Milt had converted in Germany by Morgan Park to have a normal screen and hood.

Correct. But the hood is far from normal.

Did get the name and address of a company that do folding windscreens and the hoods from Morgan factory when I collected my plu8 , what a mad day that was !!
