Interesting this thread in that I find the ride in mine varies from day to day. Obviously in actuality the ride will be the same but my perception changes. I guess the human brain is a fickle thing. To me the car is great fun & if today it was not so pleasant then tomorrow it will be.

I quite understand Jonno. I bought my first 4/4 by selling an MGB and a Lotus Elan and had never driven a Morgan although I had had a black and white brochure on several kitchen walls. Within a few miles I thought I had made a serious mistake but the die was cast and it was my only car. I found out later that it had been raced, crashed, badly stapled together and generally misused. My local garage thought I was bonkers. I did 30,000 miles each of the first three years of ownership and 250000 miles overall. Like Bob there were times when I questioned my sanity but then I would catch sight of it coming from a tough day at work, or suddenly realize how lucky I was. I remember finding some lovely leather on a market stall and replacing the tatty ambla upholstery, years later having new wings. It set me on course to enjoy three more culminating in the Roadster. I can't say that I have ever found them uncomfortable , and they can be made to handle well and pull more than the skin off a rice pudding. Yes, tin tops do their job but there are people out there who know that the Morgan does its job too and rewards in spades. It is what it is. It is what it is that makes it so interesting.

When I decide to drive my 4/4, I love every moment.
I really struggle to remember more than one or two occasions on 40,000 miles, when I thought anything else.
Now I am retired and sans company car, I have a Citroen DS3 for other journeys.
But being a Cabrio, even that has a bit of character, is fun to drive and really comfortable.
The other things I love about my 4/4 are the friends I have made through owning it and the fantastic trips (adventures) I’ve enjoyed whilst driving it.
