The main driver on a policy must be the person that drives the car most of the time; named drivers should only be using the car now and again. If someone’s been added as a named driver to reduce their insurance premium but they actually drive the car most often, this is known as ‘fronting’, which is against the law.
Thing is, my son still has his own car and insurance. We had five named drivers on our commercial policy, all over thirty that work for us. All we have done is change policy to any driver with my permission. So no fronting. If we would of wanted to front him I would sell his car and he can use the truck all the time.
Actually, thanks for the idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
