Or to put it another way - engage with the elements and love your discomfort. At the end of the day the beer will taste better and there'll be a good story to tell.
What a great way to describe it! +2 Kerry's description perfectly describes our drive down on minor roads from Cherbourg to Le Mans. After 4 hours baking in the sun, we saw a dark ridge of cloud ahead and welcomed the rain shower when we reached it, cooling our burned arms and faces. Come to think of it, the beer did taste better that night too.

Well we found the heat at Le mans easier than the day at Blenhiem and drove roof down always, a good hat is necessary. The Vinmog stand with shady trees to graze on our chilled hampers under was just perfect.

We went to LMC & didn't take the hood or doors! It did rain but overnight and the tonneau did its job. Don't think I saw a Morgan with the hood up & we saw lots!

Prefer heat to rain (mad dogs and Englishmen) IMHO, one of the more enjoyable ferry routes to the Classic is the Portsmouth to St Malo, overnight crossing on the Wednesday. Time on board for a superb Brittany Ferries dinner, a decent sleep and breakfast before disembarking. Lovely roads between St Malo and Le Mans and the pleasure of many classic cars enjoying the same route.

I'm How do you adapt to driving an open car in blazing sun and 35C. Icope quite well with heat but found the LMC this year quite unpleasant say did the others in our 30 strong party. That included 4 e types several Try etc.
On the road adapting was putting the hod up and zircon fill bladt You just need to man up. I've been driving open-topped in 35 degree heat for days now, unlike these limp-wristed nancy boys in their cabriolets with the hoods up and the air-con on full blast. It sure beats the rain and cold. Or to put it another way - engage with the elements and love your discomfort. At the end of the day the beer will taste better and there'll be a good story to tell. LMC temps weren't so bad. What a fantastic event it was and that article is just fine. Good for Morgan and encourages the unconverted to sample the faith. On here it reads ever more like a faith. :-o Nancy ( boy)
