Just got back after a fantastic trip to the LMC and then to Lake Como, on the way back I noticed a very slight whine which I thought was from the diff. This morning I washed the car and standing back to admire it when I noticed one side was much lower than the other approx 35mm drivers side front! Its as though the whole car is twisted. I was not impressed with my dealers lack of concern for a car that has only done 5k miles so await Morgan to reopen on Monday. Should I just contact anyone in particular or the service dept in the first instance?

I wonder if you've had part of a suspension coil snap off? Have any heavy bumps on your travels?

I suspect they will want your dealer to inspect the car before they get involved.

I'm not aware of hitting anything hard but there are more than enough potholes in the roads around here so maybe a culmination of those is the cause. I'll let you know when I find out.

Sounds worrying - it's driving OK? Doesn't feel like it's drifting to one side?
Let us know the outcome....

I assume you took out road assistance cover in case of issues during travel. Has it got a home section, worth getting them to inspect it and at least document the fail if you do have issues. I don't expect you will once they get back to work.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I know you have probably checked this but is the car stood on perfectly level ground, 35mm over the length of the car is not much, it could be the ground slopes slightly causing the suspension to dip on one corner?? My roadster did that on our drive, it was the drivers side rear that was compressed, I thought I had a suspension problem, I moved the car onto the road (flat surface) and all was OK.
When I had my Aero there was a slight whine noise (more of a hum) from the rear, sounded like the rear differential, when the rear tyres were changed it went away, as the tyres wore it came back, I presume it was the noise from the tyres as they wore down, it was checked by the dealer and no fault was found. (he couldn't hear the whine).
Good luck. Ian

The car drives perfectly normally although I wouldn't want to do any sprited drives down country lanes. I measured the height whilst in my garage using the centre of each wheel to the wheel arch there is a definite difference of 40mm between the fronts and less at the rear. The slight whine was barely noticeable other than cruising down the fairly quite French toll roads hence I wasn't overly worried initially. I certainly don't have any recollection of hitting any speed bumps or large potholes that caused any concern.
