I’m looking for replacement units for my sealed beam headlights on my 72 4/4. CurrentIy I have a Lucas 7285 on the drivers side and a Lucas’s 7608 on the passenger side. I understand that I’ll need to fit the bowls and lamps separately but am finding that the internet is getting too clever for me. When I put in the model details I seem to draw a blank on the appropriate parts.

Grateful if anybody can tell me which parts will fit.

Many thanks

Mark

PS I think they are standard Mini / Morris Minor parts

John,

Thanks, but we’ll be in France next weekend, and to be legal I need to carry a replacement for the units with me.

these should fit and look great as well.....

If the above link won't work - try putting P700 into ebay search.

below is a picture of them fitted to my 4/4

Spare bulbs aren't legal requirement and please don't waste your money on carrying a breathalyser.

The RAC disagrees with you, the AA says it’s “recommended” to carry spares.

If I can’t get spares in time I’ll plead the AA interpretation if necessary!

I do want to upgrade the headlights - the original spec is pretty dim.
