Considering mounting a pair of auxiliary driving lamps on my Roadster, much like the +8. But what brand? Heard a lot of good about the vintage Cibie Tango (Oscar is too big), but they seem to be difficult to get hold of. Several retailres are selling Wipac. Any good? Suggestions?

Robbie I fitted wipacs to my plus four they were like candles compared to an oscar not to be confused with the super oscar which would be a bit big, You can also colour match the rear case with a spray can.

I`ve got a couple of bike headlamps - matt black 4" diameter on mine wired up for dip headlights - much admired. Europaspares. Very reasonably priced and not obtrusive. Could be painted body colour.

I managed to source a couple of Cibie Tango on eBay some time ago not seen any since. You have more room than my 4/4. Great lights.

if you have over riders here is a link to a Thread on brackets I fabricated.

I recently saw a pair of amber SEV Marchal lights on an Alpine in France. They looked really cool and I would love a pair of those on my Plus4. Less yellow than those on the limited edition Plus8.

I quite fancy this option. How do you have them wired up?

Update - I mean, do you have an additional relay from the main beam circuit, or is the current draw low enough to let them be fed direct?

I remember fitting four super oscars thats two long range spots and two fogs at an angle on my Avenger tiger once for a night event,i swear when all switched on the car was slower but it was like driving in daylight.

Ditto that. Back in the early 70's I had a 1300 Escort which had a pair of Oscar driving lamps fitted. Youthful exuberance lead to slight front end damage but it came back from repairers minus Oscars. As I had a photo of them fited there was little dispute but it came back second time with a pair of new Super Oscars. I didn't compain innocent

They truly turned night into day. Amazing they are still available.
