Welcome davies
The only problem is removing the smile after every trip. I got my sport last year and have covered 9,000 trouble free miles at 45mpg. Having run a +8 for a few years before at 19mpg, I am enjoying the difference. The sport is far more chuckable through the bends is another advantage with the weight differential.
Enjoy your new car. Richard

I spoke to a club member at the NEC on Saturday who confirmed this very thing. He had a +8 and had test driven a 4/4 sport. He said he'd never had so much fun............. It's got me thinking again. Now the bespoke 4/4 will be available again, the temptation to spec one up (with a spare wheel) is a real proposition, especially with a power upgrade. I like the narrow bodied cars and I like painted wires.......... But I would go for the easy up hood..... Decisions decisions.

What a restless bunch (Morganeers)seem to be, at least we all seem to be wrestling under the same marque so that must speak for itself !!! maybe

I think it's about engagement in the 'lifestyle'. Maybe that's not the right word, but what else is there that can give equal enjoyment whether it be 1600cc or 3.0 litres and more. Each Morgan ticks different boxes, but the sum of those boxes is the same. Where else can you walk round the factory and never tire of doing it. Where else can you have any colour and any interior. And so on. Maybe Caterham come close? It's an addictive package. What I'd really like is a bespoke 4/4 with a +4 engine. Simple as that really. Plus the Roadster of course. And if I had the space & money, a Plus8.

good choice Davies, don't be tempted to tuck it away for the winter - enjoy to the full.
@DaveW -you can always get Mogsport to drop a 2 litre in a 4/4, I know someone who's done just that

Yes that prospect sounds a good mix, not knowing the specifics of the two lumps I would imagine the 2Ltr wouldn't be much heavier. In a 4/4 sport at 795Kgs with 1.6 Sigma the 2Ltr would be more than enough I would think. PS to Easter a man after my own heart use them all year and don't polish too often. Richard
