The 4/4 Sport is my favourite in the Morgan range. I love modestly powered light weight cars, plus it looks absolutely fantastic.

Yes it's ok the big thumping V8 and how I used to love that sound, but when you strap into something lightweight and nimble with sensible power levels it is hard to describe the sensation it is more a feeling that everything is in harmony and the car is in balance. I can really push on in the sport conditions allowing, certainly to a greater level than with the +8. I imagine the Lotus 7's and the like have a similar feel.

I love my 4/4 sport! The engine has enough power, only the gearbox ratio is not optimal. It's too long.

Yes i agree with you Andre it for me would be my only crtisism, especially as all the useful power seems to above 4,000rpm. Keep on enjoying it  Richard

I owned a 44 Sport last year and it was totally trouble free. Did exactly was it said on the tin, it felt solid, simple and uncomplicated. With so few extras on the trads there is very little to go wrong on a new car.

hello davies, congrats on your 4/4 Sports! I own mine since Dec 2009 and enjoyed every mile since. Except a broken windscreen (production fault, replaced under guarantee) I did not have a single problem so far. Car is running smoothly; handling is good; mileage is 45mpg(US) and better.

my new Sport has the optional 4:1 axle, the gearing is now spot on - although I might miss being able to pull 100 in third....

Hi all,
I purchased my 4/4 sport this summer and I love it. Simple, honest fun. Enjoyable to drive and affordable to run either as a hobby car or as a full timer. It makes so much sense, I don't know why I did'nt buy one years ago !
I agree with Andre however, regarding the rather tall fifth gear. It's not that happy to run below 50mph in top, and these days many of the trunk roads here in the UK are being limited to 50 from 60, so this means that I have to run in forth for longer periods than I would like to (thinking about fuel economy mainly). The solution would be either a bit more bottom end grunt or slightly lower top gear.
