Stuart, I think they’re a hoot to ride. Great for sightseeing. A completely different feel to a road bike. It’s not that they are unstable it’s that they turn a lot quicker. I’ll happily ride my road bike without holding the handlebars but wouldn’t try it on the Brompton. I found the descent today acceptable. The main problem was it was very cold and I didn’t have gloves.

Kingswear looking nice in the sun today - the plastic bathtub is worth 75 Million apparently.

Doctors only say when you feel ready, they won't commit. So really it's upto me, but as I am not sleeping great I am getting tired through the day, I have sat in my cars and checked visibility mobility and it's not to bad.

I am not going to rush it.

Collected new car this morning from KH, followed by 140 mile trip up to Doncaster this afternoon to attend family event tomorrow. Steep learning curve with steering and transmission but it gets better the faster you go.

Thankfully little traffic on mixed roads provided good initiation and modest journey time. Even the luggage stayed put courtesy of cheapo bungy octopus although looking forward to leather suitcase with straps and cover to follow wink

Can't thank Dan Whiting enough for extra work he arranged FOC on dashboard. Hate chrome especially in the cockpit. He not only arranged for main instrument bezels to be removed, shotbblasted and powder coated matt black, but included clock and switch surrounds as well. Also fitted a Sony radio and the Phoenix/John Taylor mirrors I supplied smile

Great improvement IMO, need to do something with that awful standard rear view mirror though - I was warned wink

It may have cost that much, but I doubt that it’s still worth it.
