I would add get one of these for your grease gun, fast easy to clip on and saves trying to wrestle the gun off the grease nipple every time. Amazing how much difference you feel with the front end freshly greased. I pump in grease until I see clean grease coming out each time. It’s messy and needs cleaning after as there is quite a lot pushed out, but I know all the grease in there is fresh. You also try unscrewing the nipple slightly. It may be so far in it effectively blocks the grease flow.

I have an old Tecagun (tecalemit), and the fitting on the end of the nozzle unscrews a little to make it easier to fit over the nipple. You can still get them. Works a treat. Mind you, before I fitted the remote greasing kit, I needed a full body suit. Now I put on my dinner jacket to do it.

This appears on fleabay but postage is virtually as much as item itself as it has to be shipped from Oz, so looking at £50 or so! Alternatively, a “G-Coupler”, which does a similar job is available on both fleabay & Amazon for about £20 inc. delivery. I have just ordered one. Cheers from Tasmania 👍🏻😄
