I had a quote from Heritage insurance last week for my Morgan On a multi car policy.
After waiting about 10 days no paper work arrived .I rang them and found that it is all done by email no hard copy.Not something we do now !!
So they then sent an email 40 pages .
I found one or two errors so it was re sent amended.
Looking at the terms as best I could ,in the windscreen section I noted that Specialist cars had a windscreen restriction of £500 including VAT.less £90 excess.
Morgan is classed as a specialist car so insufficient cover for the heated screen versions. So check if you are insured with them.
There seemed to be a complete lack of any one out of the 4 people I spoke to that had any experience with Morgan cars despite their constant advertising in the Morgan publications .
The Quote was very good and competitive but rather uncomfortable that they forgot to say they needed photos for the agreed value .

I left Heritage a few years ago for similar reasons. Like many, they accepted payment easily but it dropped rapidly from there..

Aren't they part of a bigger group now..?

Try Classicline. I've found them to be ultra-competitive and very helpful.

All their policies include European breakdown and recovery as standard and their excess is lower than most.

They insure both classic and "cherished" cars. I've got a 2009 car on a specialist policy for example.

Insurance is very personal depending not only on the car but also on your individual circumstances and history. Last year my Morgan insurance went up from £256 (fully comp) to over £900 because of accidental damage to our motorhome. Yes really. I’m with Esure now. Been very good so far but then I haven’t had a claim.

I've been with Headley for a number of years now. I paid £247 on my 2017 4/4 this year - the excess is £200.

Morgan Insurance (Headley Insurance Services) every time for me. Competitive premiums, European Breakdown cover etc.

Ditto, they insure the Factory Mogs, and you get to speak to a real person who understands Morgans

Heritage also with a lot of others are just a broker, not an insurance company, they are underwritten by kgm, who over the years have really been reign g in their cover costs, under normal car cover (covered through other broker on another car) they write off any cars over ten years old no matter how light the damage. And no fault claims count against you with them.

So definitely worth shopping around, in our circumstances with our other cars we have found Aviva to be one of the best we have dealt with especially on paying out.

I don't know what it is about my circumstances but Headley has never come close to a competitive quote for me, and I've tried several times.

I've been with Heritage for the last couple of years with a multi-car policy, but as always I'll look around at renewal time.

I was with Headley insurance for 3 years and swapped last year to Gott and Wyne

Can’t fault either of them

Both seem to have knowledgable Morgan specialists you can ring up and talk to straight away who have a proper paper file that they can read and go through with you on the phone

Makes a huge difference
