Nice pictures John you have some lovely areas to explore, I enjoyed the sights of Norfolk when I lived there as a youngster with some straight roads even thumbs .

Best of British. Well tried and tested.

Surprised by your comment Stewart; they are something of a design icon.

My late (and much missed) uncle used to keep a couple on his boat, much to my delight as it gave plenty of opportunity to remind him of the 3 most useless things on a sailing yacht (bicycle, Naval Officer, umbrella) - he being a retired RN officer.

In fact, they proved jolly useful for getting about in ports of call, and were light and compact enough to stow away tidily.

Once you understand the rules of engagement it’s a great way to sightsee. Following what looked like a local, I realised the rules are: ignore traffic lights, ignore no entry signs, ignore pedestrianised spaces, basically ignore everything as it’s every man for himself.

I don’t know how tourists on foot can stand traipsing around given the heat today.

I’m lead to believe Rome may be a challenge.

Trust me the roads are really bad around Rome & further south. If you think driving is bad in Tuscany expect it to get far worse. Good luck. I basically joined the natives & ditched the rules.

And even if I’d wanted to, I couldn’t drive the MOG today.

A little blast onto the Shropshire Hills (near Church Stretton) and a picnic earlier this week.

Food tastes great outside and I loved the car "ticking" away in the back ground as it cooled down cheers
