Craig is correct - this car has been "doing the rounds" and i recall at a non-Morgan dealer at least 12 months ago - not sure how much it was up for then - a deal to had i expect........
Re the hood - well spotted - doing that can break the stud off and its a right b....r to repair apparently.
Just checked a few old files - it was on sale ( or one identical spec etc) for £42500 at a non-franchised dealer back in JAN 2017! Surely it could not be on the market for that long...? So much for a waiting list

The first thing I would check on the car are the two tennex fasteners on the body
The hood has been folded down with these still fastened ......this can be a pain to repair if they have been pulled ....?

If its not registered will the 30 month warranty start on purchase?
If so repairs to the studs will be covered if necessary.
I also remember seeing this car (or its twin - but no two Morgan's are the same?) for sale at least 12 months back - Mcarthy cars or some such name.
Model looks bog standard so current list is about 44k so a saving to be made.
Strange it's outside the Morgan network

Strange it's outside the Morgan network I calculate it closer to 45k, the extras on the car is the spare wheel and door pockets

I had to extract one of those broken studs early on in my Morgan life. They are very brittle and one snapped off flush with the bodywork.
First I stuck a washer around the stud with double sided tape to protect the paint.
Then over the next few evenings (still working then) I used a pin chuck (finger drill) to drill down the stud until I got sawdust.
Then I tapped in a triangular needle file and the broken stud wound out easily with pliers.

I’m curious....why the assumption that it’s the same car as seen in previous adverts? It’s a near standard spec car, with spare and painted wheels which is what really is the bare minimum that most dealers would want. I saw enough of them being built to that spec when I worked there.

All, I have an update,it was actually manufactured in November 2016 for London Morgan and their customer cancelled his order so the car was used as a display item in their showroom."The chassis is galvanised and then painted/undersealed".The car comes with full warranty that would be through London Morgan. The car comes with full warranty that would be through London Morgan. How does that work, then..? If it's a Morgan warranty, then any franchised dealer would suffice, surely..? I get the impression there's more to this than meets the eye. Who owns the car now, I wonder? London Morgan or the current dealer..? Who would your contract be with as a buyer..? This would be enough for me to walk away. Given the photographs of the hood as well, my gut instinct is they don't give a hoot but just want the margin..

Maybe they had a go at selling it until it got quite old, and saw a chance to offload it into the trade at cost price Martin?
