Ed,
they don't do wiring diagrams now only loom diagrams which are like chocolate tea pots

I couldn't agree more. Here a splice, there a splice, everywhere a splice.

Nevertheless you can learn a lot from the loom diagrams if you have the patience to decode the cable colour abbreviations, since individual cable runs are usually numbered as well.

In version 6.0 of the 2014 on classic parts manual (seemingly the current one) I notice that as well as loom diagrams there are several conventional ones, for the Roadster at least. Each drawing deals with a single aspect of the electrics - headlights, reversing and fog lights, heater controls etc. as well as a range of engine ones including solenoids for the variable cam timing. This simplifies cable tracing enormously.

Patience is a big plus when decoding/tracing wiring on a Morgan!
I print off a copy and use coloured highlighters to trace the wires I need to follow then compare them with what is actually on the car! idea
I keep them afterwards in case needed again (with notes added on).
For my Plus8 the Gomog file splits the wiring into 3 parts....
front/engine
Dash
Rear.
