Hello all,

I'm getting my plus 8 insured at the mo.

Best Marsh (my broker) can get on a limited mileage package is GBP350 - fully comp. Is that about par for the course? I expected it to be cheaper.....

I'm 32, 10 years no claims used on another car, no speeders (at the moment!).

Thanks all,
Paul

Paulo,

Why not try Morgan Insurance Consultants, 01202 868500.

I got mine through them, have limited it to 6,000 miles per annum (but won't do that many) and have an agreed value at

I have used Gott & Wynne for years and found them to be good - and excellent on the one (big) claim that I made. May be worth trying them for a quote also - www.gottandwynne.co.uk

You are wise to consult.

Insurance is a tricky business. Most company/brokers sell you personality, promotion and hype..not coverage. The words the contracts are written in are obscure for a non-prefessional and you only know what you didn't get until it is too late.

The best we found with Morgan knowledge is Boncaster..a specialist division of Equity. You can buy from them direct..no glad handing or club cut.

There is pre-determined value for your Mog determined by an expert..then no ifs, ands, or buts...and you can choose where the car gets repaired. Coverage for our European mog is 370 GBP for 10,000 miles annually (It is less for less mileage.) There is 500 BGP breakdown insurance but we supplement that with a big policy.

I am with them for three years. One accident which they quickly attributed to the other driver without it affecting my record. Quick payors.

Lorne
