Steve,
I use Power Track Brakes 01344 886522 for OE cylinders (2/3 dealer cost) worth a try

Hi Steve,

cw15953 is indeed the correct part number.

I actually fitted LPR4900 cylinders (suitable for Ford Transits) from an auto engineer whose advice I trust and the bonus being they were a fraction of the price asked by Morgan dealers and more easily obtainable.

The piston diameter is a few mm smaller than the cw15953 which concerned me and this resulted in a technical discussion of required force, areas, servos, vehicle weights and so forth.

He held an opinion the rear of our cars are over-braked anyway and asked if I ever locked up the rears, my answer being yes.

Anyway,I don't feel disadvantaged when braking, don't feel any different pedal pressure and am quite happy.

I must stress my car is a 4/4 duratec and your car may react differently...I accept no responsibility.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Geof

Thanks for all your advice Talkmoggers. Various prices ranging from circa £30 to the most expensive£90,all using Morgan part numbers. I ordered cw15953 from Uk mg parts (Brown and Gammon) at £33. I hope this is the correct part, how can they supply a Morgan oem part for nearly £60 less than the main agent. What is going on!

These 19th century antique brake parts are manufactured for nothing now. Got mine from Brakes International , brakesint.co.uk. £25.29 for 2 cylinders including £4.16 delivery.part no BWC5099.

Great, ordered a pair. Do you need the tool to fit them? Any tips on figment? Is it worth replacing the shoes at the same time?
