I'm led to believe that Adrian's trials with the ECU upgrade work is now standard on modern Roadsters. They were a LOT worse back then..!!!!

Maybe a step too far IMHO.

Dual mass flywheels are a relatively recent introduction - the cars I worked on in the 70/90 period never had one and werent any more difficult to drive.

Encouraging Steve, many thanks.

TBH a 140 mile drive today to the Midlands on A roads with the top down was a pleasure as I wasn't dwelling on the negatives. Nevertheless will have a word with KH next week when car booked for first service.

Follow up from above. According to Dan at KH, Adrian's efforts led to the ARV6 mapping but did not filter down to Roadster production due to lack of emission compliance. This is born out in the fact that the admittedly useless fuel consumption bar graph display still works.

Very interesting info here. Someone presumably has had some input into retuning the variables, but I have no idea which outfit, or how deep they went.

I have high hopes for Dan coming up with a far better product for the future, Richard.

Thank you for the update.

Oh, I don't know.. I've spent many an unhappy hour attempting to tune a pair of carbs in, let alone a set of triple SU's..!

Plugging a laptop in is easy in comparison, except for the fact I have no idea what I'm doing..

Triple SU's on Healeys were dropped in favour of a pair. They proved tricky to balance and were I'm told only fitted to allow the rally spec to run 3 Webers. Mine were fiddly to get right but have stayed in tune very well.

Hello,
