Just tested on mine
The foglamp switch does NOT latch in
The foglamp only comes on when MAIN beam is on.
Try yours and report back

Yes the foglamp switch doesn't latch unless the headlamps are on. You may need your engine running..........

https://www.holdenmorgan.co.uk/parts/Classic_2014_v5.8_.pdfThe above link is to a Morgan parts book via Wolf performance website links page - its a huge pdf file that takes an age to load - but should help you locate a new switch if needed. Have you tried pressing it on/off a number of times? may help if its a dirty contact for example. I think the fog light circuit may well have its own fuse too - worth checking first on my car it works with dip and main beam. The part number is ( Morgan) MDE15270 ( fog light switch). I would imagine any helpful Morgan dealer would be able to order one.

I had the same problem and think that the problem is within the panel control board. I swapped the idle AC switch (latching), swapped the symbols and bypassed the pcb. The foglight is back and the German MOT was satisfied.

I had the same problem too just before an MOT a few years back. As it’s only a momentary switch I had a suspicion that it might be a lazy under used relay. Started the engine to raise voltage and sat there repeatedly pressing the switch with the headlights on. It came back to life after a short while and has been fine ever since. I do press it to check and exercise it occasionally now.

I suggest a call to Krazy Horse. I know the chaps there were trying to sort a customers car with the same issue... it had the switch pcb too.

Could well be a fly-back diode to the pcb relay has gone up the swanny then? I replaced mine recently with beefier diodes just on the chance that they'd fail at some point in the future.

Can you get behind the PCB it is wired into. They have a bit you need to turn to latch them on.

I would imagine any helpful Morgan dealer would be able to order one. Typically you would use a rear fog light in conjunction with dipped headlamps in foggy conditions, so this must be an option. Whilst it may be dangerous to use main beam in heavy fog due to reflected light I guess it would do no harm to have the rear fog on as well if selected, in light misty conditions. Rear fog lights are wired through headlamps so they extinguish with them to avoid accidentally being left on when not required, although I believe there is a warning light requirement when they are functioning. On the Roadster and I believe +4, the rear fog is controlled via the BCU on command from both the headlight and fog switch. The fog lamps have their own fuse which feeds front ones if fitted as well. Later v 6.0 version of MMC Classic 2014-on parts manual here.

There is a common problem with the PCB that handles the dash electronics.
Seems that if you get water ingress then this can cause shorts on the PCB tracks that leaves the fog light permanently on.
The switches and relays are of good quality, but the PCB is not.
The PCB is manufactured by Zonefollow who I believe are no longer in business and when I tried to get a circuit diagram from Morgan they said they did not have one.
A replacement PCB is in the region of £600 but Morgan do not appear to have any stock.
If you do sort out the problem would be interested to know what the fault was.
