Ah, the smell of a two-stroke! Wonderful! My only source now is from an Echo 23cc 2 stroke strimmer! As for bikes; my mid 1990s Suzuki RGV250R was a wonderful bit of kit. A bike that I wish I still owned.

Well thats a small world moment John.
It was an RD250LC and two RD350LC that were the 2 strokers I was thinking of. Car pulling out killed the first two. On the last one I had it rebuilt into a TZR racing frame due to those problems you mention (Cheese based chassis, cardboard brakes). I added YPVS and a load of tuning bits. I was making good progress around the back roads near Hartley Witney and came around a corner to find the road covered in cows slushies, went up the bank and across a field. Shortly after I gave up on bikes.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I had an RD350 YPVS for a year or so. It got stolen from work, the thieves smashed off the lock and rode it away n broad daylight, the security guard watched it happen and wondered who I had leant my bike to!

Sigh.
I loved my RD350LC.
Proper hooligan tackle.
It got nicked (of course).

Talking 2-T. At Prescott breakfast club Sunday just gone was a Berkley 4 wheeler. One of a number that was made with a 3 pot air cooled 2 stroke, of some 500cc. It had Kawasaki triple ignition system. Sounded great when the owner drove away
