The color has changed from honey (tan) to almost white along the stitched seams on the seat back and lower back area... little white fits right alongside the stitching. I still have warranty until March so I’ve contacted the dealer. Anybody else experience this?

I’ve been having trouble loading pics. I’ll keep trying.

Interesting that it effects two panels of leather yet is on the right hand side of each seam. Suggests a machine fault with the leather stitching foot of the sewing machine that has overtightened or damaged one side of each stitch. Could be?

There is a UK product called 'Scuffmaster' which would cover that damage successfully .You send them a tiny sample (from e.g. under the seat) and they will perfectly colour match.I can highly recommend and provide more detail if you get to that stage.....

That said,I think I would first be pushing to have it fixed (replaced?) under warranty ,so good luck

The reason you get wear one side is due to how flutes are made. The leather is folded back on itself and sewn, this is repeated to produce the fluted panel. So one side of the seam is thicker and stands proud, therefore will wear first. The seats can be repainted or connolised back to original.

As stated in previous replies the leather is repairable, its the source of what caused it that can be trickier to detect. In all my Morgans I tend to slide into the seats from whatever angle suits best. This sliding with certain types of clothing e.g. buttons on pockets can produce wear on the seats. My +8 was the first to do this as I tended to slide down the back of the seat. Being conscious of this I now ease my way in not allowing any buttons to rub the leather.

I’d be pushing hard to have the leather replaced if you are still under warranty. That’s a manufacturing fault not normal wear. As mentioned earlier it looks as though the stitch tensioning is incorrect and it’s tearing off the coloured layer.

My 2017 is doing exactly the same - I'll add a pic when I next pull it out of the barn. Same type of wear along the seams of the backrest.
