I’ve had a problem with this switch for some time now. I’ve stripped it down and cleaned the contacts but it looks an altogether substandard device. I was wondering if any forum members have had similar issues and found a more durable and better made switch.

I replaced one of mine with a refrigerator door switch as I thought that being built to handle 240v it should be ok. Bit of a faff making the brackets but it worked well.

I had the problem. It was cheap enough to order an OEM replace, ent from Morgan.
What destroyed the original was that it was wound out so far on the thread that the pressure of the pedal on it bu$&rd up the guts. Fitting the new one carefully should alleviate the issue.
