Maybe the newer cars have already a nicer solution – although invisible, the free hanging OBD-connector in my +4 2009 does not meet my expectation of a tidy electric installation in a car for 50k. Even a protection cap is missing.  So, made an L-aluminum frame, one leg with a hole to mount it using one screw of the fuse-box under the dash, in the other leg cut out corresponding quadratic hole, so the OBD-connector snaps in. Looks much better now, even like an expensive car... Peter

That's well executed. For those of us with less mechanical skills I use a small OBD extension cable which can be run under the dash or carpet. Cheap and easily available. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B074JH33L9/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Just in case it helps.

Definitely! Though it depends on individual sensation. This one is beyond for me. Admitted, I like to tweak even Mog's invisible corners. Anyway, there are still enough left to keep the character  .
