I have just read a distresting article on BBC news site for Wiltshire. A three wheel Morgan involved in an accident with a lorry between junctions 16 and 17. That is Swindon West and Chippenham.

More tragedy
68 year old driver of a red Morgan 3Wer pronounced dead at the scene after the accident
It happened yesterday morning at 9:45 am

Of course, I didn’t put the two together because the reports says crashed into a lorry, and Ian’s post didn’t mention Gerald was in his Mog I’m guessing the News media assumed it was a crash unless the policeman that spoke to Ian didn’t want to reveal the full circumstance of the tragedy

Of course, I didn’t put the two together because the reports says crashed into a lorry, and Ian’s post didn’t mention Gerald was in his Mog I’m guessing the News media assumed it was a crash unless the policeman that spoke to Ian didn’t want to reveal the full circumstance of the tragedy I suspect the Traffic Officer would have to have been very guarded as Ian is not next of kin and certainly would not have wanted to cause any further distress.

That would explain a comment from someone on a factory tour yesterday. He had seen a damaged 3W on the M4 while on his way to MMC. Last night I had a feeling that Ian and Maria's post would likely coincide with said sighting. I figured the Traffic Officer's comments would have to be carefully worded. Very sad...
