A Morgan attracts attention because of its nature. On the one hand everyone has his personal preferences, and although they all look the same...at first glance from the point of view of a naïve layman, there are "worlds" between the individual cars that reflect the spirit of their owner. It is a bit like a Lespaul...for the layman they look "the same", but there are worlds between different vintages, thickness of the neck, weight, number of windings of the pickups, material of the varnish and much more.

A basic rule for me with my Morgan was not to apply too fat, but to let the car work out of itself. A good example is the 2008 brochure of the then new 4/4 Sports. Yes...she is black smile and nevertheless she shows that less can be more, even if my own car is less puristic because of the spare wheel and overriders, she still follows this rule.

Regarding the colour, from all colours I had with a Morgan, Indigo, Deep Velvet green, Teal, RAF Blue and now Graphite Grey the most inviting colour especially in the hurray reactions of childs, was RAF Blue...may be the yellow bow at the cowl helped it a bit.

If you like blue, RAF is a colour I like a lot because it is a tad more understatement than sports blue and modern as much as classic at the same time. Just to give an example.

from 2008 Brochure

If there's ever a next time I will go for Porsche Signal Orange. With stainless wires, because stainless wires are the easiest to keep clean.

Driving Morgans and keeping them polished isn't exclusive. it's possible to do both......................

Hi,

Yesterday I gave my final configuration for a Plus 4 110th Anniversary to the dealer. Delivery November :-)

I also wanted a 'clean' Morgan.

Some details:
Lush Green (same as Rolls Royce Velvet Green) with black leather and a black leather steering wheel. Black wire wheels, front valance, no bumper or overriders,...

I wanted the Old Style hood, but for the 110th Anniversary the Mohair Easy up hood is included.

I also took the spare wheel but have ordered the louvered removable back panel disc so I can change it easily.

The bonnet strap will be removed, but is in the Anniversary package.

My only doubt was the wire wheels or bolt-on alloys (painted black). I went for the wire wheels, but still not convinced when I see that beautiful Plus 4 in blue on the Morgan website.

Good luck!

Dave, have also a look at the modern Porsche Lava Orange, quite fresh and intensive.

I much prefer, what I consider to be traditional Morgan colours:

Dark Green
Dark Blue
Black
Red

Bright yellows or greens, look too Lotus Seven/plastic for me (only IMHO oops)....but each to their own thumbs

The last time I looked, that orange 'speedster' still hadn't been sold. It's all very well speccing the colour you want personally, but if at sale time no-one wants to buy it, it turns it into a very expensive car.
