As all cars come from the factory without the brake reaction bars, does that mean that most stand a chance of tearing holes in the wings? A new one to me! My Morgans are 1961 DHC, 1963 +4 and 1973 +8. Old Morgans and driven hard over very rough roads. It is a problem for old Morgans and much has been done by the Owners to remedy this some with success and others not so good. You are lucky in the UK. Lots of Morgans Good support from the Dealers and able to source newer Morgans than us U.S.ers.

The fuel tank now rests on a cradle instead of sitting on the floorboards. I wonder why they are still fitting floor boards to position the tank on then? If you could get a picture of the current arrangements Graham it would help!!
The cradle does mean its easier to drop the floor if necessary. Ah, so the tank is mounted to wooden boards, as I had seen, not to a cradle. Poor photo below - from my phone, grabbed yesterday (no idea what the tour participants thought!  Unfortunately, none with the tank fitted yesterday, however the tank is mounted direct to these boards. Hope the photo helps.

The way these boards fit I wonder how the tank can be dropped thru the bottom. The boards on My Morgans are cut on the end at an angle so they can be removed from the bottom.

From below the metal frame is bolted in a way which would allow it to pivot downwards as far as I can tell.
