184 miles in autumnal sunshine but strong winds from Chincoteague Island VA to Washington DC. Stopped off for a great crab lunch in Stevenville.

“New” lens.....come on....tell 🤓
Quick thread drift - only a Nikon 70-300 VR zoom to go with my Df for wildlife photos. While in Northumberland in Sept I revisited Wallington (NT) specifically to watch red squirrels from a wildlife hide. Sue and I had been there many years ago (still had the LR 127" back then, so at least 16 years ago). We tied the hound up outside only expecting a quick visit, but there seemed to be dozens of squirrels to watch. Poor hound had to wait over an hour until we finally continued our walk. Sadly, the latest visit did not reflect that and the one shot I did catch (with manual Nikon zoom) was just slightly out of focus. After 2-1/2 hours I left feeling a little sad, for the squirrels (and the missing company). Lots of birds on feeders. Friends visited the next day and while they caught a brief glimpse of a squirrel, that was it.

Thanks Uther, never heard of Elphin except that it’s a place on west coast of Scotland!
I’ll google it, it looks to have nice slender suspension components, it was the badge on the grill which looks like it says Alfa.
I googled Westbury earlier as the church in the background looked like it could be in my town rather than the other side of the world, is it an old building do you know? Hi It’s old for this end of the world 😁 about 1836. Elfin are a very famous race car manufacturer here, they are still around but their current products are not so pretty, just pretty axpensive .

Lovely here in North Norfolk - sat outside the White Horse pub in Holme. That’s our local when we are in Norfolk. We stay at Home Farm Stables at the corner of Beach Road. Did you have the Mussels?

Just returned home after the DonMog weekend in York. A cracking weekend with a lovely tour round yesterday - saw 2 Trads - one at Rievaulx Terrace (lovely to speak to you if you are on TM) and another en route to Fountains Abbey.

Had a good blast around the Surrey/Sussex borders with a chum.... the Morgan being considerably quicker. Just a phone snap, not well composed.

We had a nice run out today to Cardigan, dined out in greggs. The bridge in Llechryd is closed after the floods and the car park in Cenarth Falls is also closed. We had a lovely little detour shame about the damage though.

Managed a couple of photos outside the Capitol Building this morning. The not so secret, Secret Service weren’t impressed before Route 50 out of DC across the Bay Bridge and into Delaware countryside to Lewes for the ferry to Cape May. In Westwood NJ now. Another 170 miles in glorious sunshine. 3689 miles and Just a day to go. Just a fabulous trip. Roof down all the way, but then of course I don’t have one.

A jolly jaunt today - 25 mile round trip to meet up with fellow Morganeers at the Donington Collection. Good to catch up with a few from TM. An Almond Tart of this parish on the far left. I wonder what will happen to the Roger Williamson statue?

A glorious early morning run from Salisbury to Williams to have Tarka serviced, MOT's and a few other jobs.
Drove back in their loaner, diesel, Mazda 3. Hmm... actually not bad in a beige sort of way.
Hopefully should be back Friday to collect Tarka, but there is a question about the N/S lower wishbone to hub upright ball joint. Could be an MOT fail, certainly will be an advisory.
The problem is that MMC don't have stock.... The MOT expires tomorrow... Could be a drive back home and SORN until there is a replacement...
Simon??? Anyone????
